I was once again invited back to shoot the incredible Silver Island in Greece. Silver Island is a private island which runs as a retreat for guests, teaching yoga, promoting relaxation and serving delicious vegetarian food. At the request of many guests Silver Island is publishing a recipe book of various dishes on the island.

Myself & my assistant (aspiring travel photographer Jack Fillery www.jackfillery.com), hopped on a plane from Gatwick to Athens. We then had a short sleep before a 6.45am coach journey to the small town of Oreoi in Evia. After a day or gorging ourselves on Souvlaki we were collected by a water taxi and transported across the sea to Silver Island to begin our photography adventure

Over the course of the week we shot all of the meals… an unusual challenge as we crammed a day’s worth of shooting into about an hour and a half total as the food was to be served to guests straight after. This allowed us time to explore the island and get shots of everything the place had to offer. That in addition to snorkelling, sunrise kayaks around the island (surprisingly far), hammock sleeps and a bit of fishing. It really is a tough job, but someone has got to do it.
