/ Warburtons Toastie Pockets

Early in 2016 I was asked by Warburtons to shoot a then TOP SECRET packaging project. A year later Toastie Pockets are on the shelves of supermarkets everywhere and I can finally talk about them. Aimed at the snacking market, Toastie Pockets are somewhere between Thins and a pitta bread. There is a cut out pocket to fill with your favourite ingredients to pop in the toaster and heat up.

To say this was a tricky task was an understatement. We didn't want to overfill the pockets, instead keeping everything contained, with bread visible along the back edge. There were health and safety concerns around overfilling and hot cheese mixed with electrical equipment.

There was also gravity to contend with, the elements don't want to stand up in a pocket with the precision you might normally expect, but lying them down gave an unnatural arrangement. My immense kudos to Rebecca Rauter - Food stylist on this project who did a fantastic job.
