/ Food Photo Festival
I was asked back for the 2019 Food Photo Festival after exhibiting and speaking in 2017. The Festival covers all things Food Photography, from animation and film through to marketing yourself. It is a meeting of photographers, agents, publishers, props men, food stylists, you name it. If they are connected with our strange little industry they will be there. Held in Vejle Denmark and hosted by the fantastic Gunter Beer the festival is a relatively new concept but a great way to get a global vision of what we do.
I was asked to take part in a panel discussion discussing various extras a photographer might be asked to do, stop motion, repeating gifs or fully fledged video. It was set out as a which is best but ultimately it’s about delivering the right thing for the client and the project.
I was also asked to do a small workshop on street food photography. I did a small presentation and we took the chance to photograph different bits and pieces in a local street food restaurant. I wouldn’t say this is my best strength but it was fun skill to learn.
